Pulling inside door handle 3 times
Hello all.
I've searched the different forums but I havent found a post about this problem. On the driver's door, is it normal that I have to pull the inside door handle 3 times to open the door? 1st pull unlocks the door (pin goes up) 2nd pull does nothing 3rd pull opens the door |

No. In my E53 the cable seized and needed to be replaced. Actually in the end we had to replace the entire mechanism. It was cheap and simple. Looks like for you, its about that time. Sounds like after the first pull the cable is not retracting to this original position in time for the second pull.

Taking mine into the dealership to have them look at my front pass door lock. Acting the same way but I have to hit the unlock even after it's been unlocked. Weird but hopefully the dealership can figure it out.

Taking it in next week. The weird thing is that it's random so that'll probably make it more difficult for them to diagnose. I'll be sure to share what they find.
