BAVSOUND Experiences; Ghost Subwoofers anyone?

Has anyone done the BAVSOUND speaker upgrade?
Is it worth it?
They are offering $100 off on their Ghost Subwoofers today only through midnight.
Limited quantities.

I ordered a set for the X5M.
30-day moneyback guarantee... I guess it's worth a try

I like their tweeters, the mids aren't that great IMO. I would be suspect on that sub. There is not enough airspace nor surface area to really make a big difference. You're much better off with the JL Audio sub for an X5 and a small mono amp of around 300W RMS.

I did the upgrade (DIY) about 10 months ago. The basic/standard audio is just SHIT for a $65k car but that's another rant.

I bought the Bavsound last year during Christmas and got a good deal, like $320 shipped.

The upgrade was worth it, nothing outstanding but much better than what I had. I would like to take it to another level with better amps but the electrical on these cars is tricky so decided not to mess with it.

Good luck!

Just realized that you were asking about the subs. Never mind my post.

Changed over to BAVAUTO underseat subs... honestly can't tell much difference at all. My Denali factory BOSE System sounds better and yields better bass than any vehicle I own.

I have standard 4 speaker audio in mine & went with ROCKFORD FOSGATE P300-12
It's a 300watt powered box with gives pretty nice bass with level control.. It's a slim box so it doesn't take up any space at all & for the price it's well worth it.. Interior speakers are pretty shiit so that's the next upgrade & will be going with another amp and real speakers.. These plug n plays really don't offer much performance because it's using oem amps..this powered sub is clean bass not performance bass.

Installation: signal for sub came from floor subs, they have built on amps.

I was going to change out all my speakers, but the guys over at MusicarNW advised against it. Instead, they recommended the Helix PP82-DSP. It woke everything up, and its tunable. I highly recommend the upgrade. Additional points because its super easy to install.

I installed the Bimmertech Amp, which is a modified version of the Helix + Focal IFBMW-S and IFBMW-SUBs. Huge, huge improvement. The Focal IFMBW-SUBs were only $175 via eBay.

VERY COOL. Did you install and PC tune it yourself? Was the tuning process hard?
