Dinan Stage 2 X5 50i 1/4 time?

So here are a few data points for a Dinan Stage 2 on my 2011 X5 50i.
Dyno test 480 lb-ft at the wheels.

Bradenton Raceway in Fla, head wind, 85F. 60ft- 1.991, 1/8mi time 8.767s, 1/4mi time 13.638s 100.91mph. Was hoping for better but with the headwind and 85F temps this is what I got.
However, raced against a new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 4 times where he was doing low 14s, blew him away 4 times until he tapped out and said I don't want to run against you any more. I felt sorry to depress the proud new SRT owner but for me............Priceless. So I guess that my point is that numbers can be very subjective and it is more important to race other cars under the same conditions.
Have no idea what my 0-60mph time is and don't know how to measure it without some high $ electronics. Anyone have any suggestions?

0-60 can be measured for less than $100 and a phone app. They are just Bluetooth OBD devices

The accelerometers in phones are not that accurate.

I have a GTech Pro which I've had for years and is usually within two tenths and 2mph of track times.

I can get below 4.7 sec for 0-60 all day with BMS Stg 1. I think I could run a 13 flat a the track, hoping to get way into the 12s with the Stg 2 beta.

Many of what I mentioned don't use the phone accelerometer. They use the OBD port and the speed indicated or GPS based on time. Torque App or DashCommand are the two most popular. You can see vids on youtube about them.

I've had a OG G-tech from the late ninties or early 2000's, and it can be flawed very often based on just road elevation or a bump in the road. But it's not a cheap solution today.

That said, there are a lot of viable options out there, the price you want to pay can vary by a large margin.

I have to say that is a VERY interesting level of torque on a 3.0L engine. Almost suspect... Don't get me wrong, I've got the same engine as you and do WANT that. but it almost seems unreal at that engine size, turbo output, not being a diesel...

Yeah, my tuned N63 doesn't make that much torque.

Odds are the incorrect settings were used on the dyno. The correction factor, though most likely the wrong gear used. You want to use a gear that is as close to 1:1 as possible. You did 3rd which is 2.1:1, 6th is a perfect 1.0:1 gearing... I'm not sure if its as simple as your 525ft/lbs and divide by 2.1 though.

Cool bragging rights otherwise. :-p

Yeah that is no where near correct if you aren't in a 1:1 gear.

I don't know for sure but suspect that it would be very difficult to extrapolate what 1/4 mile times would be based on 0-60 mph times. Wind resistance and gearing will have a significant impact on 1/4 mile times. A 13.0 sec flat might be a bit of wishful thinking. But a real drag strip time vs your 0-60 time would be very interesting.

Be great if the TQ was really that high but as other mentioned it's not accurate. If you have access to that Dyno and can do it in the proper gear I'd be interested in seeing that readout.

By the way, how was the AF ratios through the RPM range?

I'm not extrapolating it from my 0-60. A stock 50i runs 13.8. The 450HP F15 50i runs 12.8 (Car and Driver). I know I'm somewhere close to 450HP so that's where I get my 13 flat from.

We'll see. Track days soon once BMW Stg 2 is in.

Have they ever came out with stage 2? Does it require other mods to come with it(exhaust)? Still thinking on stage 1 done. I have another 2 months warranty remaining.

No idea about Dinan. Burger Tuning has a Stage 2 beta that dynos around 450-460whp on 93 octane.

It's a piggy back not a flash.
