Is there an IDrive or ECU Upgrade?

Hey guys I was told by my friend that I could upgrade the Idrive to the newest version or I could buy a ECU to upgrade that or something? I went onto the BMW website and typed in my vin and they said it was already updated to the latest version. I wanna change the look of my Idrive

You can, but it will require some coding on your part. Most likely you will need to perform a full CCC to CIC retrofit, then you can have the new iDrive controller and all

It'll cost around $1200 depending on your year.

Checkout this site. I'm not affiliated with them...

...but I am going to use Mike's services in the near future. I can't stand the fact that my 2011 X6 DOES NOT have Bluetooth audio streaming.

I had a 2010 Ford that was more "connected" than this. Oh well, these Bimmers are sweet rides anyway!

It is not a very complicated procedure to get Bluetooth audio streaming in your 2011 X6. All you need is CIC (which you already have) and then add and code Combox media. I added it to my 09 X6, fairly simple process. One of the BEST features for any car (more useful that cruise control, in my opinion)

Get this module: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221127311569...84.m1423.l2649 install it and code it. Once done, you will have ability to stream audio through bluetooth

Smile ECU Upgrade

My X5 finally runs like it should. I complained everytime I took it in that it had a lurch when starting out at a mide pace. Two weeks ago I took it into BMW Palm Springs they said there was a bulletin out and did programing on it.

Now it runs like a BMW should,
