2013 X5 Removing Tailgate Trim

I’m trying to install a second camera in the tailgate and so am trying to remove the large tailgate trim plate, which I believe will give me access to the tailgate frame immediately behind the area adjacent to the back of license plate.

I’ve not yet been able to find other pics, but this one attached is from another later model and I believe that what I’m trying to remove is shown as #17.

Any help on how exactly to remove this piece would be greatly appreciated!
