x5 e70 custom alcantara steering wheel refinish cover

I am so lucky I have some Chinese friends. They custom ordered a alcantara steering wheel cover for my trusty work truck e70 diesel. It will be here in 7 days
It is here!!!!!!! Supposed of those chines craftsmanship. It was very well made and cut nicely. Ready to get this installed and give myself a $200 M Performance Steering Wheel

This is how it suppose to look like.
*DO NOT ask me what those writing on the picture means as I don't speak any Chinese myself.......

Also I Just purchased some carpet from China too. They claim that it is real leather and goes for $250, they claimed that if it's not real they will give me a refund. The fancy all weather mat is removable which is great.

I got a extra storage net on both side too.

Instead of the red 12o' clock marking I picked a black smooth leather, and also black thread to go with the rest of the interior.
It cost me $200 CAD with shipping. Let's see what type of Chinese craftsmanship I am getting from good old China.
Expecting Updates!
Oh BTW My battery issue solved, as simple as take those corona which placed next to the battery inside the deep beer cooler, which was frozen and cool my battery down even more.
There will be a major service soon and I will update the process on that too, it will include a all around filter change, oil change, some new summer rubber, alignment and replacing all those damn glow plugs. Stay Tuned.

Those pictures don’t look bad. Are you installing it yourself? Coby Wheel removes your old cover and installs a new cover for $200-250, and they would be able to get a lot better finish than I personally could. My fear would be a wrinkled, loose cover after a couple of months.

I asked Colby wheel if they work on x5 wheels and the guy told me they dont work on these steering wheels, which sucks because i had them do my e46 steering wheel and they did an awesome job

here is the link. I can't read any of those. Looks like Chinese like to write important stuff in pictures so we as foreigners can't use our fancy google translate to read them,,

So Coby Wheel told you they wouldn’t recover your X5 Wheel? I thought you could send them pretty much anything and have them recover it. I understand if they wouldn’t do a core exchange program for certain cars due to low demand.

Hope the leather cover for the floor is good. Ive seen them but always had the fear of damaging the leather around it.

Time will tell. This is my work truck so... if it won't break in a year I will buy another one. I am on the third set of weathertech so far.

Steel work boots, heavy mud and gravel, also on the passenger side and trunk there will be tools, generator, sometimes, concrate, bricks, power tools and my truck is running almost all day long except I am sleeping. It's basically a fancy half ton work truck

A few tips , re wrap it with the steering wheel off the car if you want great result, buy a quality thread from the thread exchange "Polyester - Size 92 " and sew in a few tied notch at the end of the stitches of the the back side of the cover to trim any excess of fabric, if you dont do this and cut the excess fabric in the back the stitches will come off . Good luck
