AC/Heater not working. Help?

Yesterday I decided to try and use my AC/Heat for the first time and I notice nothing comes up the upper vents and defroster. The only section that blows is the floor vents in the front and rear. It still blows hot and cool [not cold] air just only the floor section. Anyone else had this issue or suggestions?

I googled and I see people having issues with the blower motor or fsu but if those are faulty would it not blow any air at all?

It's for a 2013 BMW X5. Thanks all.

Anyone? I been googling all day but the only thing that really comes up is the blower motor or fsu issues. I don't know much about them and don't want to just start throwing money in replacement parts.

Maybe check the mixing vents or whatever they are called, if i remember on the e70 they are electronic.

Have you checked the settings in the i-drive? You can control what vents the air comes out and what temperature the air is from the i-drive. There are computer controlled flappers in the air ducts that adjust it. The dealer tried to reprogram mine to fix issues. Worked for about 15 minutes now issue is back. The dealer is trying to fix it again.

Alright any other inputs? I took it to the dealership and they did some diagnostic and said they would have to pull off the whole dash and test something. I forgot what it was but they said it would be upward of a thousand plus. I said nope I have to wait.

The floor vents heat the whole car but it would be nice to get my defroster and dash vents working. Thanks in advance.
