Bmw e70 4.0d xdrive LED strip on rear door panel

I discovered that my Bmw e70 4.0xdrive is equipped with an LED and optical conductor inside the door panel compartment or storage.
I said "discovered" because I've never seen these lights on.
Is there a way to turn them on?

they turns on when headlight are ON, but is barely visible
