Rear hatch trim removal?
I need to check/clean up/fix the connections for my rear view camera, and to do that I need to get the trim off of the upper rear hatch. I undid the screws set into a couple of internal recesses, and prised open a couple of trim clips, but then it seemed reluctant to come away. I don't want to end up in the valley of the broken trim clips - are there other screws lurking there or should I just pry away and unclip the thing?

Not sure myself but did you search Youtube? Some car shops have very helpful videos of stuff like this.

I've done it before. Not too hard. Make sure you remove the D pillar plastic panel first. If memory serves me correctly, the D pillar upper plastic panels are only held together with clips and some plastic insert. The lower part under the window has two screws and then you'll need to remove/unclip either the lights or the trunk close button. Other than that, just use some force and you'll get the panels removed.
Here are some instructions for an older X5 but should be similar to the E70. https://www.pelicanparts.com/techart...eplacement.htm |

No. 3 and 4 in the schematic you posted on the other thread. Pillars are alphabetical from to back starting with A being the windshield pillar. For an SUV that puts the D pillar as the rear hatch pillar.
