Exclamation Is my engine dead? E70 x5 35d

Hi, I'm new here. I'm a noob when it comes to car maintenance and all that. Could you guys help identify what the possible issues with my car are? All i know is i'm burning a ton of oil. Maybe head gasket is blown? Car is 2009 x5 35d

No leaks, no strange noises just a ton of smoke.
Blue smoke from both exhaust and engine.

I know this will most likely be an expensive fix so I'm just trying to get an idea of to expect if I tow it to a shop, or if i should give it a stab of my own.

Other known issues: DPF has needed changing for over 2 years. Maybe it got clogged to the point the back pressure blew the engine?

Just driving back from the gym when i noticed it start smoking. Kind of ignored it but the next morning driving to work i could see this plume of smoke coming from the engine and the exhausts so i pulled over and towed it back home.

Were you doing a pull when it happened or normal driving?

If you were doing a pulling could be a turbo or vcg. I doubt it’s a head gasket not a common issue, plus smoke would be white. If it’s blue you’re burning oil, so I’d check the small turbo out since it’s the easiest to get to. If it looks alright and you don’t see any leaks around it or play in the shaft then you could pull into intake and check around the vcg to see if you got oil seeping on the sides (although you don’t have to pull the intake manifold to look there but it makes it easier

What’s the mileage btw?

Is it stock?

Check your small turbo. Just need to remove the air intake where it goes into the turbo inlet

Engine idle sounds fine which is good, my money would definitely be on a bad turbo.

Get setup with a better way to scan for codes. INPA, or ISTA, or Bimmercode. Something that will give more specific BMW codes. Generic P codes are pretty useless on BMWs.
