Pricing Feedback - 2012 X5 35D
Looking for some feedback on a 35d that my good friend is looking at. Here are the specs:
2012 35d w/ 34k Sprayed Gray / Schwarz Last 7 vin: L669940 Production Date 4-2012 Located on Toyota Dealership Lot Options: Adaptive Drive 3rd Row Seat Heated Front & Rear Seats Heated Steering Wheel Professional Nav Comfort Access Rear Backup Camera Standard Seats Aluminum Footplate Rear Roller Shades Professional DSP Trailer Hitch Rear Entertainment Overall condition looks good. Has a couple minor blemishes on clear bra and a 3 inch size dent on lower rear tailgate. For me the killer is the standard seats and steering wheel as well as not having sport package. Dealership is asking $31k. Last edited by socale39; 10-13-2016 at 07:51 AM.. |

You cannot buy a CPO unless it's from BMW or private party FYI.
Do not listen to whatever they say You should checkout the for sale threads ... there is one going for under 20k right now |

This is what I thought and told my friend however he called BMW directly and they confirmed CPO would transfer.
My friend wants under 40k in mileage. So that limits his options greatly. |

This is the form used to transfer CPO after it is sold as CPO from BMW. CPO is only done owner to owner unless this document is out of date or wrong. I would get paperwork from the dealership buying the car and BMW stating it can be and will be transferred at time of sale. |

So my friend came back and stated he got the wrong info as I had anticipated. I have updated the OP to reflect this change.
What do you guys think of the price? I'm thinking its a little high but I know low mileage is important to him. |

My boss has a X5d 14 with ~6k miles on it and his lease is up in April. I told him he should sell it. Now that's low mileage.

I agree, it seems a bit high to me as well, but that's to be expected at a dealer I guess. It would be a real nice build with Sport Package and Comfort Seats - not having those would be deal killers for me. But I'm not the guy buying it... |

Those are the two packages that were a must for me. Can't say enough good things about the comfort seats in comparison to the the other options.
Trying to slow down my friend but his lease is up and needs a car in a month. |

I think he lives in Modesto, he will not do a buy out, pretty much all the options, it is black and I don't know the interior. Almost sure it has adaptive drive but not 20" wheels as he comments on mine, I think it may also have the comfort seats and not sure about the 3rd row.
I imagine the option to buy has got to be fairly high as it is a lease but if you want a damn near perfect car you also have to pay for it. The buyout price is it, no negotiating at all since he doesn't need to sell it and does not intend to keep it. So no deal hunting here as he doesn't care. He retires in December and I'll have no contact with him after that. Or sooner as the joke is every day is a Friday
