Thanks everyone! All I've done so far is black grills and a nice detail (I didn't let the dealers detailer touch it) next is a clear bra and getting rid of the chrome stuff

I was quoted for $400 for just the front bumper (below the headlights/grill). I've never dealt with pricing but these people do some good work. Every time I've been to the shop they have an Aventador, Bugatti, or McLaren they're working on. They also clear bra'd my cousins frozen M3 and it came out great. I'm trying to get a package deal to cover the whole front, all the side skirts and some of the problem areas the X5M is known to have, I'll let you know the price. If anyone else has experience with prices here please let me know!!

Thanks! The change is pretty subtle, I think its only the headlights (the grill is barely noticeable) but I did vinyl the little piece between the intercoolers. I did it myself so it came out horribly, but when I got the front clear bra'd I'll probably have them do it right.

Great looking X5M ... I thought long and hard about the Space Grey, it's really a nice color and has a lot of depth to it when seen in person.
Oh and LED headlights for the win!!! I actually did a wash on my X6M myself this morning, I think my wife's jaw dropped as she realized this car is "different" - I've never bothered to wash my own car before but I refuse to let anyone near my baby with crappy rags and who knows what. I've not one time had a wash or detail on my previous cars where I wasn't doing some finishing touches that they missed. Might find a good detailer for the wax/polish stuff every few months, but I really took pride in washing her myself. +1 on the clear bra. Look forward to pics as I am considering this myself. I have a paint chip already on my passenger side fender, which I want to fix and protect. I figured I'd get a few of those with a 1200 mile road trip home from PCD though, so it didn't come as a surprise. |

I would've loved to do the pcd but this car was bought somewhat impulsively and had to be sold before Jan 1. Plus I couldn't drive it home like you haha.
And as for detailing, I didn't let the dealership do anything, so I had to get it buffed and sealed myself. The place I went seemed a bit steep on pricing, but since they constantly have aventadors and bugattis in there I figured they did good work. I didn't have to do any touch ups myself except use a toothpick to get some compound out of the little crevices. Overall I was very pleased. I would recommend them to you if you werent across the country
