Opinion Needed

I'm in the process of having some paint work completed on the front of my Space Gray Metallic X5m, and am considering having the grills and side marker housings replaced/refinished in gloss black.

Shoot me some opinions if you think this would look good, bad, like balls...whatever.

Thanks!

I've no experience with my SG X5, but on my SG M3, I love the matte black look. I'm not a fan of gloss black on an SG vehicle.

Do the grills in black, but I'm with scnell, do matte black. Do the side markers in body color so they blend, not stick out.

Matching the window frame would look good, too.

If your wheels aren't black then I wouldn't make the side markers matte or gloss black because it would stick out too much, go with body color. for the grill go for gloss black, it will contrast well with space grey

I have gloss black grills on my space grey x5m. I like it better than the matte black grills on my space grey 335. And if you're paying to get the markers painted, just get them body color. You can do black for almost free with like a one foot by one foot piece of gloss black vinyl.

I ordered mine from bmwparts.com. The outer frame is glossy and the slats less so - almost matt black. It's perfect for the car if you have the glossy window frames like mine

you should black out the lower mesh to complete the look, did it on my last x5 and it looked a lot better

I have gloss black OEM BMW performance grills on my '13 X5M and the grills match the roof rails and window frames perfectly. I'm thinking about how to get the front fender side markers in gloss black too; if you figure this out please let us know.

Either remove and paint, or wrap in vinyl.
