Active Autowerke tune

I had x5m truck for 2+years and time for little more fun.
for tune shopping lists: ess, evole, Active Autowerke, Velos Designwerks.
in my reserch active auto and velos offer little Flasher tool so i don't have to carry notebook to flash back to stock.
since there are no dyno charts for velos and my friends had a good experience with aa supercharger. i gave a shot with aa tune.
after ez install and 2 power cycles, fun start.
my thought after 400+ miles and few launching:
in normal mode power was almost good as stock m-mode or between m and normal mode
no more lazy driving feel,so i don't have to put transmisson in sport mode often.
before tune i got like half second intense feeling when i do launching now i got like 2second
now i can say to people my truck is fast.

last words for tune "money well spent"

Isn't a X5/X6M a beast anyway? Can you explain to me what the tunes add? Is it real gains or more just a little better throttle feel? Or is it just the thought that more is better?

Tell ya what...I went with the Velos tune and it is certainly not placebo effect.
There are real, tangible gains. The exhaust note changes, gas mileage improves, shift points become more dynamic and seem to shift more rapidly.

I KNOW mine is a beast...now it's on roids.

I will Dyno it if I go to MPACT in Baltimore this year...if they have the correct dyno there.

If you want the info from the engineers though...feel free to contact Omar @ Velos Designwerks. He can give you the Dyno chart.

i always thought why should i spend money on heavy suv with 555hp which is enough for suv and doesn't trust tune company's hp claim. after test drive my friend's f10 550xi with dinan stage 2 and race against my truck, i wanted to tune my truck.
yes throttle feel got much better and i felt good power on mid range rpm(now it feel like true m car) and went to my dealer and let few Service Staffs tested my truck for opinions and suprised how it behave and feel, one guy just keep laughing whole time..
when people ask me "is it fast?", i used to say "ok" now i say to them"fast"

that curve looks very nice that you have 500lb-ft wheel torque avail from 2300-4700 rpm and the hp curve very linear to 6000 rpm, so still exciting to rev. I'm not denying the benefits of a tune, just was curious if you really enjoyed it day-to-day. It certainly seems so.
