Basic car, except for 3rd row seat.

You will not like the S676A HiFi radio system. Standard seats etc ...

At $41K, this car is over priced IMO, by about $7K to $8K ...

See attached Manheim pricing to give you an idea of what this dealer allowed on trade.

Thanks PAX5 ! But I couldn't find CPO in bay area for less than 40K under 35000 miles

In my experience, bay area prices are terrible, and dealers are unwilling negotiate. To land a good deal, be prepared to buy a vehicle from anywhere in the CONUS. Your best chance of landing a good deal is focusing on vehicles that have been on the dealers' lot for more than a month. Your pocket will be happier and you'll end up in the green even after factoring in shipping costs for the vehicle (about $1500 coast-coast).

Just bought a 2011 x5d loaded with options and still has a year of CPO and Maintenance coverage for just under $28k. Mileage is a bit on the higher side at 72k but I'm ok with that since most of the mileage was hwy. Truck is being shipped from Houston to SoCal for about $700.

Thats a good deal...

My idea is to buy low miles ...drive it for few more years with warranty and then sell...

This will be my first bmw ... so bit skeptical about the maintenance ...

Correct. Post sale data does not provide VIN.

The sale data is grouped in X5 type: 35i, 35d, 50i and M.

The only way to correlate the exact auction price with the exact car listed is to match the mileage at the time of auction with the mileage data provided on the carfax. This needs to happen within 2 weeks after the auction closes (car is sold) and car appears on dealer lot. Manheim data is purged every 14 days or so.

Rarely does a buyer pay a premium for features such as adaptive drive, multicontour seats, 3rd row, DSP stereo, HUD etc etc at the auction level. This is done on purpose. When buying you want to downplay any desirable features, but when re-selling, they are highlighted and the price goes up. Result is bigger margins for the seller.
