release date for 2013??

I can confirm that like the x6, production of the 2013 x5 will begin in April. I placed an order last week for late April-early May deliver and it will be a 2013. Price appears to be the same. The only change I could detect (in my order, at least) is that the premium audio now includes Sirius without extra charge, and platinum bronze is out--replaced with orion silver.

They also added the new BMW M Performance Pack, option ZMX. Have to order ZMP to order it though. From the description it's the power bump (15hp for 35i, 40hp for 50i with 30ft/lbs for both), black chrome exhaust tips and stainless steel pedals.

I just spoke with my dealer (the fleet sales manager!) and he swears that the 2013 X5 for delivery in May is the entirely new model, not the E70.

I am in Montreal, Quebec not that it should make a difference.

Wouldn't they have released pictures by now if the build is a couple of months away?

Confused...

As usual they are saying not to listen to internet etc...although based on my personal experiences the people on the internet are much more knowledgeable than any dealers!

Another voice to confirm that the 2013 model is still the E70: the only changes are a couple of the options package and one new color--orion silver. I don't work for BMW but I am picking up an orion silver 2013 model in Spartansburg in late April.

Bimmerfest has the 2013 ordering information posted.

WAIT... are you looking at the Diesel? I am no sure if there will be a 2013 D. I do not know, but based on inventory levels, dealers have LOTS of diesels. 2012 maybe it for that car. And 2014 is next, and that maybe a new body style. I guess 12 months from now.

Yep, thats what heard from one of the dealers.

All the orders for 2013 are filled till May and but they have plenty of Diesel.

Looks like there may not be a 2013 D

Also, please note that at least one person on the Bimmerfest thread stated that the reason that the diesel model does not appear on this price list is because it will come out later in the year. So, I do not believe it is a foregone conclusion that there will not be a 2013 35d.
