X5 prices dropping with new one coming out?

So the new x5 is coming Out and naturally the prices for the old one will start dropping a little bit faster. When do you guys think that the biggest drop will happen? When the new one starts to hit the road? Or between now and when the new one comes out?

I hope the x5m drops a bit too, They seem to depreciate pretty fast and I have my eye on one.

This is a good question. X5M prices have come down considerably. How much more will X5/X5M prices come down is questionable as the new X5 is significantly more expensive. I guess only time will tell. I'd say if you found a great deal and you feel its worth it, jump on it.

You don't want to wait until their inventories are low, and selections are limited, then prices will going back up.

I've got mine last month with limited selections but a nice discount as they need to clear up the yard for newer ones, so go grab yours while you can... they offer now $10k off to start the 'dance'...

New x5ms were over $90k, now some 2010s and 11s are already in the mid 40's- I bet by this time next year they will be in the high 30's.

Obviously all cars depreciate, but this is definitely pretty heavy. Good for used car buyers, especially if you get one with warranty or cpo remaining.

I have been monitoring the prices of used X5s since I bought one a few months ago and cannot say I've seen a significant drop. Especially one with good options such as M Sport.

First post here!

We just picked up our 2013 X5d on Monday. We were able to find the configuration we wanted at a few dealers but were concerned if we waited too much longer, we would need to settle for something else. The majority of dealers I was negotiating with were not budging much on their pricing.

I have also heard that due to the unfavorable reception the new X5 has been getting the current E70 is holding its own.

That's good to hear cause I'm planning on selling mine right now. A buyer was using the argument that the new 2014 models are coming out so he was trying to lowball me. I hope the general consensus holds true regarding the pricing.

What's disappointing is that I can't even find a used price estimate on my 2013 35d on any of the sites due to lack of sales transaction data.

Why went ahead and got the 13 d that did. The deal was ok, nothing to
jump up and down about. But it was the exterior and interior color was
looking for. Had every option wanted except one, upgraded radio. Do I
miss the upgraded radio, not at all. Don't really turn it on that much.

So could have ordered one with the radio, but it was there and figured if
waited it might be gone. I searched all over Tx for another and
none to be located. Why probably didn't get the best deal, they knew
had what wanted.

Can I ask why you are selling yours already?

Only selling it cause I'm planning on living overseas for a couple of years. The car's been superb, great mileage compared to my prior SUV's and the overall build quality has been great. I would get it again when I return stateside, if I do.

The only issue I've had is selling it since the pricing is unavailable unfortunately. I'm actually going to start a post here to see if there's a reasonable price that I should expect for it.

I think the prices are dropping. My dad just leased 2013 X5 premium for $480/month with no money down. I think he got a good deal.

wow, this is great price, would you mind providing a little more details? Or maybe which dealer provide such a good deal? I did a little calculation, for a typically equipped X5 premium with cold weather and convenience pkg (61k MSRP), even with a 10k mile/year lease, you will have to be 7500 off MSRP to get a monthly payment of $480...

Anybody else buy a new X5 recently? Looking at a base 35i (or close to base) model and I'm wondering what kind of deals can be had given that the new models are right around the corner.

bmw of north haven said they have it priced $2000 off MSRP for the moment for building it. My experience is that they usually have higher price than other dealers nearby.

$2K off MSRP does not mean anything.
Depending on a case, 2k off msrp is same as 1000$ over invoice.
A better way to negotiate is "invoice and up" rather than "MSRP down".

I am just saying that is what they offer. They offer invoice price on 2013 X5, but for 14 X5 they said "we are pricing 14 X5 at $2000 off MSRP". Given the MSRP of a typical 14 X5 to be around 64k, $2000 off MSRP is equivalent to $3000 over invoice which I would never consider. After the first two month I am sure everyone can get it at invoice+500

To clarify, I am referring to the E70, not F15.

Anyway, I went to test drive the 35i and it was ok. The 35d, on the other hand, was wonderful.

Does anybody know if BMW is still offering the eco credit?

We bought our 2013 35d less than a month ago and we received the $3,500 ECO credit. Combined with our Ultimate Drive Event $1,000 credit, our selling price was over 9K off of MSRP. Hope this helps!
