Did they cut out the driver side trim to make it a functional grill? The before and after show the change on the driver side but not the passenger side.

There is a some sort of radiator or transmission Cooler on the drivers side so, it is an open grill. The passenger is closed though.

pretty sure that's the intercooler for the turbo, but I could be wrong

No turbo on mine. I think the X5M have both openings for intercoolers.

Just got a pair with anti error connectors will be making the bracket and installing them soon, otherwise direct plug and play just need to mount correctly.
