PDC wiring harness replacement

Does the rear bumper need to be removed on an E70 to replace the PDC wiring harness?

Long story short, the dealership told me the wiring harness has corroded on my X5 and i now need to replace it in order for the PDC to work correctly.

The rear bumper is not bad to remove I would remove it. Plus some of the harness goes through a body plug into the rear trunk, not sure you could do that without the bumper removed.
