Removing Run flat tires

I recently purchased a 2011 x5m with 19000 miles. The tires are pretty worn on the front.
Anyone have recomendations for a brand of tires that isnt a runflat?
I have seen the Continentals and Nitto in matched pairs. Anything else?

thanks
David

I had Toyo Proxes on mine and they were great, even though they were all season tires. I have also heard good things about the Vredesteins Ultrac Sessantas.

The Pirelli Scorpions are great winter tires and their all seasons seemed good too but I don't know how their summer tires compare.

I have 6K + miles on a set of Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season non-RFT tires I installed to replace the original RFTs when the car was new. They are great tires so far: plushy ride, quiet, very responsive to steering inputs, and they have a very high wear rating - mine look like they were installed yesterday. I took my car through a bit of snow and icy roads a while back and they felt nice and secured. I highly recommend them.

Oops! I just noticed yours is an M with staggered wheels. I'm not sure these would be available in the sizes you need.

I will be getting a set in about... 5k? How long do the RFT last?

I just put on a staggered set of Continental DWS's and they appear to be a great tire. Excellent ride, pretty aggressive tread design, and very quiet at high speeds. The price is right too, at about $270 a tire.

Not sure what the plan is yet. I am in Europe for the month so everything is put on hold. My buddy runs the Dinan authorized shop here in Gainesville. I am planning on doing the tune when I get back. Still trying to figure out the rest.

Do you have 22" or suspension work done? What kind of results?

I really like the comfort level of the truck now but would be willing to give it up for big gains. :-)

I know you are asking about tires other than Continentals and Nittos, but there is one thing that is not frequently mentioned about the Continentals - they can be rotated from side to side, while other tires cannot.

I ended up getting the Continental DWS. It is such a quieter tire than the stock ones, ride is much improved too!

thanks
