Giving up my e90 for 2013 X5 AW / Oyster M Sport

I'm taking delivery of my 2013 X5 M Sport tomorrow morning... Just had a child so i must say goodbye to my 2009 335xi M sport...

Just wanted to get a thread out there to see if anyone ever had to give up their babies because of a baby... and how much do you miss her?

Will post pics tomorrow!

I traded in my 08 E92 M3 a month ago for my X5. My baby will be due Sept and my M3 just got out of warranty so it was a good time to trade. I don't miss the power but totally do miss the engine note and handling of the M3. Otherwise, I really do enjoy the X5. When this lease is up it will be a hard choice between the new M3 sedan or an X5M. No more non-M cars for me after this one though.

I traded my 2008 E90 335i for my 2012 X5 40d. I have 2 kids (5 and 2.5) and while both fitted in the 335i, having the extra space in the X5 is lovely. Plus, I can now get my road bike into the car without having to take off the front wheel.

I do miss the power of the 335i (not that the X5 is a slouch) as well as the sound... something I found I regularly miss are the paddles on the steering wheel (40d in Australia doesn't come with paddles).

I've got one client that is 1.5 hours drive away and another that is 6.5 hours away (bulk of travel is highway speeds). I've found the X5 is a far better long distance cruiser than the 335i. I've arrived at the other end feeling far more refreshed than I did with the 335i.
