Sock absorbers question
Hey guys, my car came with the regular factory suspension ( not adaptive) and I have found that the factory shocks top's ( bottom's out ) easily, Im concerned because right now Im using my 19" OEM wheels, but in 1 month I'm switching to #214 20" wheels with lower sidewalls on the tires, that probably will translate to a more harsh ride???
Since switching to adaptive drive system is not possible, I was thinking in buying some adjustable shocks from Bilstein, Koni, H&R or any other top brand. Anyone knows if doing this will solve my issues ? Any sugestions will be appreciated Thanks in advance ! Last edited by motex; 11-07-2009 at 01:45 PM.. |

Bottoming out
U should have test driven the car model with all the major options b4 u bought.
If u r a frequent visitor to this site u should know that most people advise is to get adaptive drive, which works superbly w DPC for flat cornering w/o pitch & row. Go to BMW dealer for solution. You don't want to void your warranty by having some one monkey around the suspension of a 5000 lb vehicle. Not when ur life depends on it at 100 mph + ! Or simply change your driving style & slow down over rough roads. |

This is Costa Rica ( 4 million people, 12 X6's in the whole country, sticker price starting at $100,000 US dollars for the cheapest X6 30d one like mine) , different stoy here, we have no X6's in the only one showroom to test every option, I did not have the chance to opt for any features or extras , the car was there, take it or leave it......is not a matter of money......if I were living in the US for sure I will be driving an X6M will all the gadgets at the same price I paid for my diesel here
