My New (used) e70

Hi All,

About 2 months ago I picked up a 2011 35xdrive M Sport for $32,500 with 32,000 miles on it. I think i got a pretty good deal on the suv. So far its been great, only things i did was bought black kidney grills, white license plate leds and i installed 20watt white LED angel lights, any way to get something better that comes close to the 2012+ angels, or is it possible to install those headlights or the angel eye system into these? Do not have many pictures but here is how she looks. When it gets warmer planning on getting darker tints, possibly new exhaust and a bov (i like the sound lol)

congrats on the car.

Try as you may, but you'll find out that no replacement bulbs would get close to the LED headlight system of the LCI/2012 cars in terms of the light output. Most members who really want this simply bite the bullet and buy a set of headlights, which are 100% interchangeable.

I know this b/c I was going after the same thing with my M3. All the people selling the replacement bulbs have fantastic pictures, but the camera tricks you...in daylight in person, the light doesn't even look like it's there.

Agreed on the X5 lighting.

On your E90 you have some much less expensive options that X5 owners don't have...there's a few companies doing full LED corona retrofits for $500-$600 that look outstanding.

Looking good. What options does your X5 have? And yes, don't waste your money on replacing the angel eyes. They're all terrible, especially the LED ones.

Im not sure what exactly were all the options for the x5, but i dont have HUD, rear seat warmers, and for some unknown reason why package the x5 so nicely and not get the upgrade sound system, i have the basic one

Congrats on the new ride and great color. What I did with mine was the 1" drop all the way around with H&R springs, and wheels spacers 15mm front and 25mm rear. The setup just makes the truck look that much meatier. I had the same issue with the angel eyes. Bought the LED replacement bulbs and they looked like garbage. I went back to the halogen bulbs which made the halos brighter. Complete waste of money. Enjoy the new ride.
