Holy smokes, guys swap out those 18s (255s) with 20s (275/ 315s)

so I made the move on sat, and was v nervous about ride quality taking a hit (we have 2 toddlers in the car & a wife with back problems) ... woooo hoooo knock on wood, the X actually rides muchhh better .. it almost feels like the suspension was made for sport pack & when you dont opt for one, they throw the 18s on and slam it on your face.. in love with the X again, I'll post some comparison pics, wait they're huge pics..

My specs are:
Style 214
20x9.5 ET 45 (does not stick out) - 275/40/20 Toyo proxes II (non RFT)
20x10.5 ET 30 (sticks out real nice) - 315/35/20 Toyo Proxes II

This depends a lot more on the tires than on the wheels and wheel sizing. My ride is much better on the 18's with my winter tires than on the 333's with the stock Bridgestones.

Handling and looks are a different story though.

RFTs will kill your ride quality, also mpg stayed the same, next time I should go 285 & 325s, offcourse non RFT

Thanks for reminding me about the RFT. I'm about to pull the trigger on 375's, I have RFT's stock and shit it's hard as FUK. Ny roads don't help

The staggered look is just so good on these trucks. I can't think of any other SUVs that have this aggressive stance can you?

Not on AMGs, Q7(of course not!) or Cayenne - come to think of it the Macan is staggered but other than that I think the X5 is it!

Definitely one of my favorite aspects of the look of the X5 when properly fitted with the staggered setup.

I couldn't wait to put my stock setup (summer) back on (214s, 275 Front/315 Rear). The look is SO much better.

I wish I had the money to upgrade my 19s to the staggered 20s. I agree it looks amazing. I get jealous of every one I see with that set up.

I have a 2011 35d and it came with the sport package which included upgraded 19inch wheels. Unfortunately with the 35d, the 20's were not an option because i like those wheels the absolute best. The staggered look really sets off the truck in my opinion.

In my local area a seller is selling OEM 214's that are already powder coated and gloss black. They are dressed in Bridgestone all season run flats, 90% tread life left. Selling all 4 wheels/tires for $2,250.

I hope this is a good price. What do ya'll think?

They are not curbed at all. Mint condition. I wish they didn't have RFT.

Well they are already on there. After these are shot I will consider going non run flat.

Decision seems to be split on those who like RFT vs those who don't
