It is brighter over all but the outer ring from a close look still the same as the v3
The main difference is the adjustable color but other than that it is quite the same. But the v4 little bit brighter

Just installed my V4's. I was a little disappointed that the outer rings are barely lit up in daylight but I still much prefer their cool blue 12000k light vs that ugly yellow from the factory.

You have got a point there the outer ring is not bright enough unless you stand at least 15 feet away from the car then you can see it bright enough but the color changing is cool like you mentioned .

Sorry for being off-topic.
Did you guys noticed V4 flickers when turnoff?
I installed on my 2011 X5M and noticed mine flickers a few times when turn off with remote.

Yes I noticed and that is disadvantage because my v3 never flickered ...

I checked this morning for the flicker you guys mentioned (in the reflection on the glass at my local Krispy Kreme). I didn't see any flicker at all...just instant on and off. I did notice a guy in a non LCI 350i staring at my bright white halos though!

I was reading in another post that some ppl are increasing the voltage, via coding, with aftermarket led's...has anyone tried this with the Lux V4's?
