Anyone know about these lights?

I have been trying to upgrade the angel eyes in my 2011 X6 but I have read the after market ones are not that bright during the day and I can't seem to find any that match the factory color. But I was on YouTube and saw a video of a guy that had a euro spec x5 and his had the new Led angel eyes. Now I wasn't sure if it was aftermarket or not so I went to the Uk BMW site and sure enough the x5 comes with the Led lights.
So my question is since both cars use an H8 bulb can I order the BMW lights and put them in my US spec car? I know they will fit but I'm unsure about voltage and if it will pull codes. So if there is anyone in the know or anyone from europe that wouldn't mind asking your dealer that would be great.

All 2011 X5's, including the US ones, got LED angel eyes for 2011. They will not fit the X6. The best and the brightest way to go is xenons. It's what I did in mine here.

No the x5 in US did not. My family just got there's last wk came with normal yellow angel eyes.
Anyway if the US spec does have Led why wouldn't it fit? They both use H8 size! I called BMW parts today and they use same part number so I think they would fit just unsure of codes. As for using HID kit I think it's waaaay to bright and the color doesn't match factory. Would much rather just buy a simple led light. Plus HID gets super hot!

Def don't want HID. I just want a simple plug And play light. Plus I want it to match the factory color of all the new BMW headlamps. Hid is almost to bright. If I can just order the LED from the UK that's seems to be the easiest and best route. Just no one knows if it would work.

Here in Costa Rica our BMW's are European specs, so tomorrow I will call my dealer and ask him about it, I have been looking for this quite sometime already, I will keep you posted

I asked the BMW dealer here in the UK and they told me the new style rings are indeed illuminated by LEDs but are built in to the headlamp unit and can only be replaced by changing the whole headlamp assembly.

If that's true and they replaced the whole headlight just for euro spec cars that must have cost BMW a good amount of coin. It also sux if I can't just buy the factory LED. Well thanks everyone for the info and if anyone else knows anything please do tell.

Mistery solved, here is a schematic from my dealer regarding the new LEd bulb from the new X5, it is a totally different bulb, see red arrow showing
the new one, so I think I will go for the PIAA's which are H8's perfect fit for
my X6 angel eye's and H11's perfect fit for my fog lights.

It appears the connectors are different. Even if the voltage is the same the Led light won't plug into the US spec car. I could be wrong I'm just judging by the picture there.

Am I missing something... from the schematic, isn't number 12 the bulb for the angel eyes? If it is, it looks like it's the H8 bulb?

This is the schematic for a 2008 X6, the bulb at number 4 looks the same and is the H8 bulb.
