Clean E70 X5M with all options/ low miles

Hi,

I’m new to the community and I picked up an X5M, always wanted one for their timeless design and for all the technology and comfort they offer at a reasonably “second-market” price. Not much out there on the E70 M compared to other recent M cars so I will make a few maintenance threads.

Looks great! White is always a great color for a BMW.

I just got the Avin system with Apple Car play integration. It should arrive after the holidays I’ll post about it once I install, everyone says it’s great though.

Recently bought and repaired a 2013 X5 for my wife.
Want to put that aftermarket touch screen unit in also.

Since my e70 has factory Bluetooth audio, I wonder if the audio from those units is also playing from the same thing as factory, or if aux still has to be used for the unit?

Aux is used for it, I never thought about connecting the Bluetooth of the Android unit to the Bluetooth of the BMW, that could be interesting.. I will try that this week and report back if it works.. Right now i am using the AUX input on my F02 ,which is the same CIC unit for the e70 X5M (That i also have and rebuilding into something nasty ha)

How would you do that?
You’d have to switch between oem screen and android screen. Unless the screens do not change if you switch back and forth.

That would be ideal to keep audio via Bluetooth.

When I swapped the CIC on my E93 for the android unit, it said a phone could not connect to factory Bluetooth and android at the same time.
I never tried it though.

What i plan to do is go to the Android unit and look for the BMW Bluetooth, and yes, toggle between the two till you get them to connect to each other. I will try it this week.
