You can restore original state of your car easily (by just running the same CD again). Nothing can be then spotted by BMW service and will not void warranty of your car.

Hi guys, well I purchased this DVD, downloaded it , burnt it, and IT WORKS! I am very happy. Now I have asked them, if they could write a program so we can close our windows and trunk from the FOB, as I could with MY German E60. I have a US X6, and on US models, these functions don't work. I really miss it. They replied me that they are already working on it, and soon it will be available. We will be able to fold our mirrors from the fob also

I got mine done because I like to continue watching news etc when I am laid up stationary in traffic with auto handbrake on but still looking at a blank screen. It's a PITA putting it in Park then losing picture when engaging Drive every few seconds to only inch forwards half a metre at a time.

Yup, in digital too :-) (but of course it is extra - more or less 1200 USD extra!)

I added DTV to my e53 and wasn't very expensive - less than $500 witih the NavTool and tuner ... Anyone know what is involved in adding a 2nd video source to the iDrive?

Hi guys,
I'm Juan from Barcelona,
I've just purchased the DVDinmotion, inserted it into my 118D iDrive and.. DVDinmotion!
It works like a charm!
Now the copilot can see dvd's while I'm driving..

I do watch the news daily every night driving home, but is more like hearing than watching, I don't think watching the news is more distractive than using the OEM NAV maps, watching TV is more natural than checking out a map and driving IMO
I'm so used to it that sometimes I dont watch the screen in my daily 20min drive home, maybe if there is a breaking news or something special, is not like you are watching a movie while driving......
