Unrelated to that, anyone know why the multi-contour seats are such a rare beast? Shopping for a 50i online, it seems that only 10% or so have them. Can I assume that the packages and costs for those years weren't favorable to that option? In my F10 (5er), it seems over half have it, as they were included with both sport and m-sport packages. I test drove a 50i today and sat in both the regular and multi-contour seats and determined that they're a must-have. I must be in the minority in that opinion if so few bothered to order them.
I already responded to this thread…but I'll respond again..

I too am looking for a specific X5, and yes, multi-contour seats are pretty rare. In my search, I would say the following options are not very common:

Multi-contour seats
Active/ventilated seats (most I see with this option are for sale in FL)
Adaptive Drive (unless you have an M Sport model)
Active Cruise Control
Active Steering
Nappa dashboard
Lane Departure warning
3rd row seat
Rear sear entertainment system

Everything else is pretty easy to find, especially on the 50i models. There are more 35i's on the market, but they tend to be less optioned that the 50i.

What exactly are you looking for? Color combo, options, features, miles, warranty etc, etc. Ideal price?

I think if you run the 2011 vin and it has the combox, it will have the LEDs.

I have an early 2011 X 50i with the M sport package and pretty much every option that could be ordered. I will say that the adaptive drive and suspension package is well worth the cost. I found mine about 250 miles away, it only had 17K miles on it and was CPO. Just make sure it has the "sport" button by the shifter. Couldn't have made a better decision. The seats are firm but with the sport package, stiffer suspension, and HUGE 333 wheels it fits the bill.

I don't think this is correct. I've run a lot of 2011 VINs that have 'S6CVA - Control for Combox' and they don't have the LED Coronas (I don't think any 2011 model year X5's have the LED Coronas…not that I've seen?).

5UXZV8C57BL421289 - this is a 2011, 12/23/10 build date, has 'Control for Combox' but definitely doesn't have the LED Coronas (seen it in person, plus the build date is much too early for the LEDs).

oh, ok. My bad! Well I too am searching for the perfect CPO. I would have found it already but then my wife gets picky on the color and options. It is going to be her car so I can't give her too much crap.

I thought I had it figured out but I won't let that be a deal breaker if everything else aligns...
