Iphone 5s Compatibility?

I just picked up my 2012 X5 35d and no luck so far getting my iPhone working at the level I want it to.

So I've been searching around and it seems the "media" version of the iphone 5 dock isn't available yet. The BMW P/N that has been listed was: 84212351309 but it isn't available.

The Basic and Connect versions however are.

I've tried using my usb lightning cable and it doesn't work with my phone.

Bluetooth works but I'd rather connect and be able to scroll through my playlists on my phone (I don't think the playlists can be searched through bluetooth?)

So I guess what are you guys all using for your iPhone 5(s) setups? Can you search through videos on the CIC units in these X5's?

I have an 2013 X6M with apps and have a similar dilemma. I use a 4S insert cradle and a tie wrapped short adapter cable for the lightning connection. The phone works everything except some of the office apps. I tried the -008 snap in, and it did not play audio. Still waiting for the -009 snap in adapter.

Hello,
One additional point. Contacted BMW USA, and the 2014 models do not have this problem. The -308 adapter works.
