nothing like taking a high performance SUV not meant for anything more then a little rain and throwing a semi real off road challenge at it. I hope the tractor owner charged the balls off him.

Those low-profile tires ("tyres: in Aussie) are the problem.
I drove my X5 many times on the beach and never had a hint of getting stuck. Tires are plain base 18". |

We don't muck around down here.
What he did was pretty stupid, as not only does the M lack low range, but as serge1 said there's no profile to bag out if you need more footprint. If you call something a "utility", we're going to use it as one. Here's mine a few weeks ago with a couple hundred kilo's of wood in the back.
