Look at the E90 forum. They use the same bulb in the E92. Plenty of info and pictures there.

There are HID, which require you to drill a hole for installation. I might go for these if LUX don't release their LED solution below soon. But i'm a bit concerned about drilling the hole and condensation/moisture issue.
And there are LED - The best everyone says is LUX H8 and is very visible in sunlight/daylight. The only thing is the heatsinks don't fit our X6's.. spoke to the manufacturer and he says he is making some changes and woefully we'll have more info in a week or so |

Don't do the HID'S. You will regret it. They look like ass at night because the inner ring gets so much light that it gets distorted. I would never drill holes in my lights. Any type of condensation and you are screwed. Not to mention kissing any warranty coverage on them goodbye. Wait for the LUX.

Go to the dealer and look at the new 5 Series lighting. If that's the look you want to achieve....go to JSLevi (There is a thread in the classified section) and order the Weisslight bulbs. They are $150.00 for 2 and they will take you 15 - 30 minutes to install. No drilling, no error codes, however there is a small ballast (I assume its a ballast) the size of a lipstick tube that is hidden in the lens assembly. Your lights will look just like the new 5 series. I posted a picture of my X6 on the above mentioned thread. Best, Brian

please pardon my ignorance, may i ask why can't we fit the "bulb" of the led angel light from LCI E9x or new F10 into E70/71 as plug and play? I m guessing wiring sockets are different? I haven't be able to find any diagrams nor able to see pics of the oem led bulbs to compare so i don't know. thanks for clarifying guys.

Sorry but no. Someone tested and there is a problem where they do not fit correctly. I am working on a solution however.
