E71 Hitch help... ?

So I am trying to get a hitch (package) onto my x6. This is a little confusing as both links are for a hitch...

one says

Both Product Details State - Constructed from galvanized steel- this complete kit includes cross member- wiring harness and receiver cap. Note: Ball and tongue sold separately.


Weird if it states (wiring harness) <--- ??

From my guess I need both? One is the hitch itself and the other is a electrical kit? Has anyone had this same hitch installed onto their vehicle? Also price of installation?


Other questions...

Is this trim required when installing the oem hitch?

I am thinking perhaps the electrical kit may be a replacement electrical kit only. The other is the actual kit with the wiring harness. It's not really clear. Call the dealer and ask.You will need the metal trim piece since they will need to cut the bumper to install. I have the Execuhitch/Invisihitch installed on my X6M. Half way down this page:

I just ordered mine as well. Steve took care of me and gave me a 80 dollar discount. Will be installing soon
