X6 35i opinions

Considering getting into an X6 as a winter vehicle. Not wanting to spend a lot, but I am worried about the 35i being underpowered. What are some real owners feedback on the everyday usability of a X6 35i

Thanks in advance

I traded in my 08 E90 335I couple months ago for a 11 X6 35i and I am happy with my decision. For everyday use the 35i has more than enough power and I can't complaint about the gas milage that go with it.

In drive sport mode, it's very quick and responsive. With winter tires, it's an absolute beast in the snow. I've got Pirelli snows on the 20" wheels and it has been a godsend this year in Syracuse where we've had 150"+ of snow already thus season.

I also have a 4wd pathfinder (with all-seasons) and there is no comparison.

I use mine as a daily car and so far I love it without any problems. The only issue I faced is, I'm using 20-inch 10J x 20 front and 11J x 20 rear, and the steering is kinda heavy for this setup.

Test drove both models, 35i has plenty of get up and go for a bit of fun. Will make a great everyday driver.

Just picked up my second 3.5X6. Said goodbye to 2008 X6 with 62000 miles this afternoon.
It was fine as my daily ride.
Will start new thread after I detail car, and get clearbra, and windows tinted Monday.

I am glad I pulled trigger for Holiday cash program this year. My 8th BMW.

How do you like driving the X6 compared to an E90 or E92 335i?

I'm looking at getting an X6 also but I'm also debating between the 2. I like the grunt of the 5.0 but this will primarily be for the wife and don't want to have 2 gas guzzlers in the house.

The 3.5 seemed like it wasn't short onpower, but I test drove the 5.0 first and I think that tainted my experience a little.

Decisions decisions. If I didn't have my M3 then 5.0 for sure.

Now if there was a diesel option...
