Question about M-performance pack

Is the M-performance power kit just an ECU bump on the std N63 or is it an engine change to the N63tu, like that coming in the 2013 650, 750 and 550 GT?

It appears to be an ECU bump. The N63tu probably won't show up until the next X5/X6.

Is this the update that will use twin scroll turbos like the M and 3.5i?

I got a X6 3.5i with M perf. pack and I believe the engine in it is the N55HP from the 640i?

the Tu incorporates valvetronic and has 450hp/480 lb-ft, it does not have a pair of twin-scrolls like the M.

You have the n55hp, which is same as the 640i, you are correct.

I'm sorry, are you sure that N63/N63Tu on 50i are not twin turbos?
I thought it was simillar to M, but smaller turbos
And the whole lineup from BMW (except old N54) is using twin-scrolls, aka twinpower turbo

While the N63/N63Tu is twin turbo, it is NOT twin-scroll twin turbo. The moniker 'Twin Power turbo' from BMW simply refers to the combination of Direct injection + Turbocharging, not 2 turbo's or the use of twin-scroll turbos.

Currently, the n20, n55 and s63/s63tu use the twin-scrolls. The n54 and n63 do not. of course, the n54 is a goner at this point.
