Had it for a week - here are some pics

Not much time for a lot of additinal driving in the last week since I was out of town, but thought I'd start a new thread with afew more comments, and some pics included:

* sound system is awesome
* the bluetooth phone works much better, i.e. it sounds much better for the person on the other end of the conversation, than in other cars I've owned, including my Infiniti M45. Doesn't sound like you're in a tunnel.
* visibility is actually good with the big rear view mirrors. The rear window is small due to the slope of the roof, but it's adequate
* still turning a lot of heads with the looks
* it feels very big inside.
* the power rear cargo door works much faster than the one in my wife's Lexus. A very cool feature.
* Comfort access is a very cool feature also. Never have to take the key fob out of your pocket.

That's it for now. More later after I get to drive it some more.

Nice pics. Thanks for sharing. I think I'm going to have to go down to the dealership to have a look see in person.

Can you notice the Dynamic Performance Control at all while taking the twisties?

What a good looking car. I love the color also. It is one of the best looking front end in the market in my opinion.

DallasBeemer. Just curious. But does yours include the MyInfo service? Not sure if I read that it starts with the 2008 X6 or only 2009 X6.

Beautiful car! Thanxs for the pics. You sure are lucky!

A few questions to answer:
Yes, it does have the BMW Assist service included for one year. The dealer told me that they might try to up-sell me on some additional services when I call and get it started, but that I don't need them. I haven't set it up yet.

Standard sound system, no upgrade, and it sounds great.

No real opportunitiy to tell a huge difference on the dynamic performance control. I've hit a few curves at relatively high speed, and it handled great, but I can't really offer much of an opinion yet with this limited experience.

Does your model have the new Google Map feature where you can go on your computer and plot out a trip and click send to vehicle and when you start up your X6 the route will be programmed and ready to go? It should have this as part of BMW Assist. Here is the link: http://jalopnik.com/379103/bmw-assis...new-big+ass-x6

Check it out and let us know

What do you mean it wasn't turned on yet? The article stated that it would be available on all 2008 X6 models and available on all other 2009 models.

It was effective with vehicles as of 4/8/08 - See text from article:
"This latest addition to the BMW Assist Safety Plan allows subscribers to send business locations and street addresses and their associated phone numbers found in Google Maps(TM), an innovative online mapping service, from the comfort of their home or office directly to their BMW. Effective as of April 8 production of 2008 X6 Sports Activity Coupes equipped with the BMW Assist and Bluetooth® Hands-free calling System, customers will be able to call the phone numbers received with their Bluetooth connected mobile phone or, if their BMW is equipped with a navigation system, immediately start route guidance by a simple push of a button. I drove one the other day and i can say for sure you can feel DPC when it kicks in ... I was making some sharp turns and the car stayed on the road like it should ... I was very impressed !!!
