Widebody BMW X6 Tycoon Evo by Hamann to debut at Frankfurt Motor Show
Hammann's extreme widebody X6 "Tycoon Evo" will be introduced to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show coming up in just 1-2 weeks. Back in December 08, Hamann debuted its "tycoon" aero kit, but this an even more radical "Evo" version.
The Tycoon Evo kit boasts a body that's 60mm wider than a stock X6! It also includes new front fascia, sideskirts, rear diffuser, rear spoilers, LED lights, dual center exhaust and 23" Hamann wheels... along with the traditioanl Hamann interior cosmetic parts. As for performance, Hamann offers tuning software for the entire range of X6 engines. Their xDrive35i software bumps the horsepower from 306hp to 360hp. Their xDrive30d software bumps the power from 235hp to 265hp. The xDrive35d software bumps the power from 286hp to 320hp. And the xDrive50i tuning software raises the power from 407hp to 500hp! |

Like: the black mesh wheels, and the wide body kit and rear exhaust
Don't like: the front carboon hood, needs more tire width |

Ick.
I have always thought that Hamann never got the memo that "less is more". IMHO, it just seems like they've tried to tack on as many vents, flares, and bulges as possible. Sorry, but I think that looks way overdone. Subtle, it's not - which I suppose is exactly what many buyers will be looking for.

Hmm, reckon that hood would fit the X5M? It sure would lighten the front of the X5/6M by quite a bit. Given the slightly front heavy nature of those cars, a little lightening wouldn't do it any harm for sure.
