New E70!
Hey guys, I wanted to introduce myself here. I just picked up an 11 xdrive50i this past weekend. I am excited to have this truck, I hope I don't end up regretting it due to repairs. I think I should be ok though.
Anyways, 87k on here, she wasnt to pricey. I dont know what direction I am going to take this truck, but this is the baby mobile. I hope I dont screw it up to bad. |

Thanks, I have been driving it for 2 weeks now, and I really like this thing. I think (as long as whatever breaks on the 'truck' isn't to crazy) I may have made a good decision. We shall see as time goes on. I am not a fan of the way I understand this alternator to work. I wish I could change it so it charged all the time.

I like it. I clicked off some mileage and I am kind of impressed.
15mpg on the first tank all city. I just filled up again this weekend after running around, and 19.7mpg, the truck had a lot more highway in that tank. http://www.fuelly.com/car/bmw/x5/201...iend281/561524 The truck has also learned me, I am getting a bit higher RPM shifts now and holding gears just a little more. I think the PO was grandpa'ing around a lot. It will shift in the 2-3k range when I am driving now, vs the 1k-2k range I was seeing before.

Make sure you keep a few extra quarts of oil in the trunk, the 50i loves to drink oil

I've already pumped 2 into mine over the miles I have had the truck. I think a catch can may be in order for her. I don't think I will keep some stashed unless I am going to be not home and out for a long while, like a vacation or something along those lines

That's good and sounds pretty interesting as far as the adaptability goes to your driving style man
