E70 X5 M40D - F15 M Sport Steering wheel

Hi guys.
I am receiving my 2010 X5 M40D E70 soon and one of the first mods I want to do is to swap the steering wheel with the new M from the F15.
Will it be possible? Anyone done it?
Thanx,
Mike

Probably but it will look out of place no? The alcantera BMW performance wheel looks miles better. Already sold but just for reference http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=805401

Mike_P, please update if the X5 m f15 steering wheel was compatible with your x5 e70. Im thinking of doing the same considering the f15 steering wheel looks much better, in my opinion. I was having doubts of its compatibility because of heated steering wheel options, the cruise control placement on the steering wheel while the cruise control on the e70 is a lever, and the ability of the paddle shifters to function properly.

Again, please update us! It'd be much appreciated.

From that list of differences I would highly suspect that it won't be interchangeable.
I couldn't even switch my 2012 for another 2012 with paddles, due to mine having the lane departure warning. Only so many available wire connections in the harness...
But yes, pls do let us know.
