drivers side blowing warmer than passenger side

hi all - a new day a new problem with the 2011 x5. I noticed that the drivers side blowing warmer than passenger side by maybe 10-15 degrees. I can make the drivers side warm but when I go back to 60F it doesn't get nearly as cold as the passenger side. And really everything from 60F to like 72F feels exactly the same.

I did some googling, some say its low refrigerant or the water valve but this sounds like a blend door not closing all the way? Is there any way to test the blend door actuators using ProTool? Have you guys had this issue and what was your solution?

thanks

I had this issue last summer when my a/c was running. The driver’s side was ice cold but the passenger was only semi cool. I added refrigerant and the problem went away. Don’t know if it’s the same problem you have but I figured I’d chime in.

I have the same issue. Have you tried scanning the car for codes? I Scanned with Protool and it told me here was a malfunction with the water valve. Still need to get around to replacing it. Seems like a simple enough fix

Thanks for the scan reminder. Forgot all of these things will give errors. Sure enough, water valve error. Problem solved with a new one.

Thanks all!

I had this issue and adding some refrigerant worked for me, but my Carly is on the fritz, I need to scan the car to check for any other issues, I wonder if the valve is faulty as well.
No real need for a/c the rest of the year in Denver anyways.
