Can someone take a look at my logs? Running BM3 stage 2+ 93 tune. Current set up is TU pump, new injectors, new NGK 94201 plugs gapped to .028, VRSF catless downpipe. I was running the stage 1 93 map and was getting quite alot corrections and knocks. I put a couple gallons of e85 in and it cleared everything right up. Over the weekend and flashed to the stage 2+ 93 map and I'm getting some minor corrections again but no knocks. Worried they will only get worse when the weather warms up.

Still getting engine knock

Tune: BM3 OTS Stage 1 E30 map
Mix: E38 using 93-octane Shell gas (see log flexfuel sensor)
Equipment: Active Autowerke downpipe, TU HPFP, Pennzoil Plat Euro 5w40 oil, new NGK plugs (stock gapped)

Have had engine knock at low-RPM in the past. On advice of this forum am running E38 on the E30 tune to try and clear up the knock.

2 logs still have engine knock

Log 1: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=662f...7ee711b7e3d41b

Log 2 (knock): https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=662f...7ee711b7e3d47a

Log 3 (knock): https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=662f...a8bf21c558e861

Log 4: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=662f...a8bf21c558e869

Any ideas what to try next?

**EDIT**

I think it might be something on cylinder 5. For both knock logs, it seems cylinder 5 that is knocking. Also see this E30 Stage 1 Map w/E43 from September: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6502...90c6120936bbcd this Stage 2 map: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6502...0b435ca6e0a8cc and this Stage 2+ map: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6502...729b152462c3f5

It is always cylinder 5 that is most affected. Already replaced plugs so it might be time for some new coils or injectors? Anyone have any thoughts?

Brian that cruising log looks terrible and I'd be very concerned if a fresh batch of gas does not fix it. If it doesn't fix it then check your spark plugs. The proper log looks okay... but not great either.

Hi im no expert in fact i know very little,,, but for me im on Mgflasher Ots stg2 and on 98 ron map (98ron fuel) i have knock, on 95 ron using 98 fuel no knock! I sent my logs to tuners they said knock is actually a throttle knock… they said nothing to worry but for me The timing is consistent, for you is not compared to mine… I think its best to spend extra money for custom tune, i will do that also we will
Get more power and more safety… by the way Kern417(Kevin) also told me he not really cares about knock He looks The ignition and the correction thats what matters according to him…

I double checked where i have knock timing is all
Over for me as well!! Best to get custom tune 🤷

Hi guys,

I've recently flashed my Gen1 with MHD Stage 2 HPFP and run on 99 Ron fuel. Would you mind having a quick look and let me know if these look OK? Are the timing corrections OK? There's a little bit of overboost there too and a throttle closure.

Is turbine power something controlled by tuner? I changed tuners because the car was running horrible with this log. New tuners log keeps it at 60 "turbine actual" in the same boost and fuel. It goes to nearly 80 RAM Turbine actual in this log.

Yes it is controlled by how the tuner creates the compressor map and a few other factors.

Not looking the best, looks like low quality gas. Try some premium fuels like Total or Shell and see if it improves. If not you could flash the 95 ron map.

Are tuners able to see all my data logs in BM3 or just the specific ones to their map?

Used to happen up to 4 out of 5 times with the black MHD adapter! It was absolutely terrible as most of my logs were unusable!
Tried with a second one - same/similar thing.
Since I moved to the MHD Universal one - the problem disappeared completely.
