Headlight conversión for X5 E70

I want to change the factory headlight unit to the new style bi-xenons but was told that it ruins the BMW system and does not work properly, specifically with the adaptive lighting.

Has anyone done this? What has been your experience?

Yes, you will lose the adaptive headlight feature. I have similar headlights on my X5. My factory headlights are being rebuilt and I have these as a temporary solution.

If you're still interested, I can sell you mine when I get my factory headlights reinstalled?
