Wobble in front tire

My 2001 X5 (194k miles) has developed a wobble in the front drivers side tire. I thought it was possibly the tires, but after replacing all 4 it is returning. It happens when I'm curving to the right (onto or off of a highway), but other than that I don't have the problem.

I'm thinking it's the lower control arm and this is something that I'm comfortable fixing myself. My only concern is that I'm going to get into this and then need some special tool. Does anyone know if this is a simple part to replace?

Thanks in advance!
