Help With Winter Wheels/tire Choices!

Hi Folks-

Just purchased a 2011 X5M (Mel. Red/ Black). Thinking of going to Tahoe, but these wheels/tires are not going to do the trick in the snow. Called the BMW dealer who gave me a "winter wheel/ tire combo" priced at $1,090 per wheel! I would only be using these when going tothe snow, which is once per year. Could you folks please give me sizes of wheels including offsets, and where you got them from...............as well as the tire sizes. I would like to go to 19's, but 18's are okay if I have to. Thanks in advance. I'm in the San Jose/ Montery area.
