Stone Guard
Installed this before a 2500mi trip this summer in hopes that it would protect the hood...it did.
I'm sure most of you won't like it, and I understand, just thought I would post the pics since I have never seen anyone mention it. $80 The styling is nice but the attach points are not so well thought out...sturdy but I thought it would easily come on and off...not really. Also... It looks odd having a hole for the badge, but it fits that close to the hood. If it were solid, it would rub on the badge. |

First time Ive seen one of those. Glad it worked for you.
I did the clear bra on the front bumper, mirrors, hood, headlights, and fogs.

I believe I said it was for a trip that I took, and I don't remember asking for your opinion on wether you liked it on my car. It was for information only. As far as clear bra. I've been around it for 20 years and there isn't anything that I don't know about it...including how to put it on...Flawlessly! The paint shops that I frequent would laugh me out of the building if I showed up with that crap on..."no disrespect to those who have it, it very well may be your best option." Personally, I'll take the chips over an sand blasted opaque sticker, that needs repainting underneath if you ever have to take it off and re-apply, and forget about the up-keep... But, please understand...I have access to some very high end paint work, which not all do, nor do most understand the effects of it on the paint underneath. It's always funny when 5M boys think we can't afford the stuff they can...Lol. |
