X5m adaptive headlights reset

How to reset this light I was washing the engine and the next morning I get this light how do I know the two motors are not fried because every time I turn on my car they go up and down Any idea???

Every time our '12 X5 is started at night with the auto lights on, they also go up and down. But then settle, level I guess. Seems normal.

They supposed to go up and down to adjust the ground level or the driving needs brow
