Back in a BMW. Thankfully.

After selling an E92 M3 for an E90 M3 when my wife got pregnant I realized that the E90 was still not going to accommodate a baby and a few dogs. And truthfully I was tired of driving manual in the city of Chicago after 10 years. I made the mistake of moving to a 2008 Mercedes E63. It was clean and had low miles but that didn't stop it from racking up nearly $8000 in repairs since August. Thank God for Fidelity Platinum.

Last week I ditched the E63 and made the move to this X5M that I purchased from TheUtahX5M. It arrived in Chicago this morning and I've already had her bathed and run some errands with her.

So far it's WAY more of a driver's car than the Merc E63.

Plans:
Tune, exhaust, maybe high flow cats or downpipes. A few cosmetic changes and a thorough detail. Also, going to have the wheels fixed and refinished into a gunmetal color.

It has warranty until July 2020 but hopefully it isn't needed much!

Thanks to Jeremy for an awesomely smooth transaction. This is my third car purchase or sale on this forum. Great experiences for the most part.

Plate looks cool. Car looks very good an clean, congrats. Great choice coming back to BMW for an SUV.

I was looking to try something different but luckily I had two friends one that bought the Cayenne and one that bought an ML that solidified my love affair with BMW.

Don't care what people say, the Porsche's interior was tacky and corny, a million buttons everywhere in a failed fighter pilot center console attempt, giant aluminum vents pulled straight from a Ford F150 (Beautiful pickup but not a luxury SUV), and minivan gear selector high in the center console to name a few glaring mistakes with this interior. I was honestly appalled when my friend showed me the truck. I obviously did not tell her how i felt but I walked away saying to myself, "What the hell was she thinking, for $1000 per month!?".

The MB was a little oldmanish. It was actually a lot nicer than the Porsche but it wasn't sporty enough for me. The interior was nice and the drive was good as well but it was a little too laid back for me to consider it. It didn't grab me but I was happy for my friend, and the price was right for the vehicle he got.

Long story short I got my current X5M and I really couldn't be happier. Beast drive and I really love the interior. Puts a smile on my face every time i look at her and drive her.

Congrats, and drive in good heath.

Amg's are pretty nice. Loved my 2011 C63 AMG. More than my 12' E92 M3 in many ways. Just made the switch to X5M from the M3 about a week and half ago. So far mixed feelings. The ride is super comfortable and it's quick for a heavy vehicle but miss the M3 whenever I see sports cars. Haha. But an amazing ride regardless. Yours looks gorgeous. Enjoy it in good health.
