2011 X5 - Loose object rolling around below center console/gear shifter
Recently something came loose under my 11 X5's gear shifter and center console area. It sounds to me like it might be a bolt or screw because its rolling around during driving. Anyone know what is going on?
 Any guides to remove the center console would be awesome! |

Loose Object
Did you take the ashtray out? Dimes and pennies fit through gaps around the ashtray location. My X5M came without an ashtray and they pulled like 30 pennies and dimes out from below the console. Look for YouTube on how to remove, my dealership did it for me but I remember seeing a video

I had this same problem. It was a penny rolling back and forth. Very easy to pop the brezel off. Do a you tube search and it shows how to remove. You will need to have trim removal tools. Very cheap $6..
