Pics and Video below

Sorry I've been a ghost on here for a while, a lot has changed with the X5 in the last few months.
The car is now fbo (intake, down pipe, Megan exhaust, charge pipe & JB stage 1). I installed a stud kit and my Forgestars FINALLY came in!

Today we got bored and took her to a local AWD dyno in Fort. Lauderdale. Temperature was 90 deg. & 60% humidity.

The best numbers were 290HP & 330 lbs torque. Pics, dyno graph and video below. Any questions, feel free to ask!

Hmm, if the 335 numbers from Burger Tuning are similar to the X5 N55, they have stock 335 as 290 HP and 315 TQ.

Thanks for sharing.

Remember AWD system in the X5 is going to cause a ton of drivetrain loss compared to a 335's RWD. And if you figure I have a 20% loss (which it's probably more) the car has picked up about 50 crank horsepower from all the mods. Not too terrible for BMS stage 1. You can see how choppy the power delivery is, I'm really looking forward to seeing what a proper flash tune will do to the car.

Can you post a link to a thread regarding your 300zx with the 2jz swap. Sounds interesting.

Looking good, nice numbers, like the wheels. Where do you live? I'm up North a bit in Palm Beach County...

Would love to see what a cobb OTS map and Cobb Protune could do for you. Maybe even an e85 map...

Is a meth spray an option? I had great success with meth in high temps with my N54. Also, I was under the impression the N55 was locked and a re-flash wasn't possible. My N55 made decent power with a piggyback tune and catless DPs.

Vibration?

Dear Skypirate

I wanted to ask you about your experience with those forgestars? I have the same ones and am having a hard time getting the spacers right (im trying to run 12MM spacers in the back of my 5.0 M sport).....

My problem is that apparently my car has the smaller diameter rear hub (not 74.1) so I have to get an adapter and Im getting vibration on acceleration at higher speeds (which goes away in a steady state)

Any thoughts you have are welcome - Love your ride and the tires.

Which charge pipe, and intercooler are you running? I bet with a Cobb flash you can get smoother and more aggressive power from it.

Tell that to my cobb flashed N55

It's limited by years and other things that Cobb supports, and other vendors support. Folks just like the N54 better.

Thanks!

Take the wheels adapters spacers etc all off and make sure there is a tight fit to their mounting surface, the vibration could be from one of the above not being hubcentric. My wheels were milled to be hubcentric with my hubs but they were a little loose. I took some electrical tape and carefully wrapped the lip on my spacers until they tightly fit into my wheels bore. try it and see if it helps
