My fiancee is traveling to Va and she just got this morning this light on.

I'm wondering what might be. The temps were 4-5 F last night.
We checked also the manual.
I'll take it to the dealer later today but I was wondering if anyone had similar issues in low temps.

Its a check engine light. You need to check the code it gives or just take it to the dealer. Probably a egr problem.

I had the same issue here in Chicago. Started the car and it came on when it was -4.

Yes, -4.

You need to connect it to an OBD II reader to get the codes. The code(s) will guide you, via a internet/forum search, to either the problem or the procedure to identify the problem. If under warranty, skip all that DIY stuff and get it to the dealership.
BTW, Chicago weather blows chunks, with extreme prejudice.

I'm still under warranty. Ill take it to the dealer this afternoon. It was just weird that the temp dropped / check engine light.

Engine yellow light on

That happened to me today, but here temps are in the high 30's. Truck started fine, drove off and the yellow engine block symbol comes on. So annoying...

I've had this error also in my 335d.
It happens pretty regularly at cold temperatures (less than -20C... about 0F).
From my research and discussions with SAs it is because urea fluid tank freezes and the fluid crystalizes so it doesn't flow right.
It effects the performance a bit... so just don't hammer the pedal when it's so cold.
It also tends to only happen at speeds > 120km/h (65 mph).
